YAFP (Yet Another Flood Painting)

This one has been in progress since… 2001? A long time, anyways. Every once in awhile I get seized by the muse and it comes out of storage. I’m starting to think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, though.

This is another one of those 'the painting makes sense if I paint it well enough’ pieces, to paraphrase one of my favorite artists, Gregory Gillespie. In other words, the meaning, if there is one, is certainly not conscious or explicit. I tend to enjoy artwork that speaks to the subconscious more than work that has some sort of obvious agenda.

No, I do not know who these people are. No, this is not about the election.
